Born in Brabant and studied at the Stage Academy in Maastricht, I started as an opera director at the Conservatory in Maastricht in 1985, and since 1990 I have directed and written numerous (music) theatre pieces and cabarets as an independent director.

Over the years, my curiosity about theatre in real life grew, and I discovered that life was much more theatre than theatre could ever be. A profound, confronting and highly interesting discovery! Moreover, I realised that in real life one could profit in a wonderful way from the possibilities of theatrical insight.

In 1993 I started giving corporate and group training courses and workshops. People participated who had nothing to do with the concept of "theatre", and yet who nevertheless discovered the benefits of  a great deal of a number of theatrical basic principles with them.

I found, and still find, this interweaving of theatre and life fascinating.

In 2009, I was invited by the U-Center, a private clinic in Epen (Limburg) to give a workshop for their clients. The RSD method immediately hit the mark and proved to be highly effective. From 2016 to 2022, I also applied this method as a drama and music therapist at the Lifespring Clinic in Bad Münstereifel (Germany).

This grew into a network of clients spread across various countries and served in Dutch, German or English.

In addition to eye-to-eye coaching contact where necessary, video coaching has become a fully-fledged facility, where clients can brainstorm and spar in depth about the themes that concern them in the peace and quiet of their own environment and at a time that suits them, thereby quickly and significantly increasing their quality of life.
